Refund & Cancellation Policy
How project cancellations and refund requests are handled.
Last updated: October 10, 2026
1. Overview
SOCIGATE provides professional marketing, branding, creative, consulting, and technology services. Many of these services involve customized work, allocated resources, project planning, and work performed specifically for a client.
This Policy explains how cancellations and refund requests are handled. The terms of a signed project agreement, proposal, or order may contain additional conditions that apply to the relevant project.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any refund rights or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. Project Payments and Deposits
Payment schedules, deposits, milestone payments, and other charges are specified in the applicable proposal, invoice, checkout page, or written agreement.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, its purpose and applicable conditions should be stated in the relevant agreement before payment.
Payments for work already performed, deliverables already supplied, or costs properly incurred for the project may not be refundable, subject to the applicable agreement and mandatory legal rights.
3. Cancellation by the Client
Clients who wish to cancel a project should submit their request in writing to info@socigate.com.
The cancellation takes effect in accordance with the applicable project agreement or, where no specific procedure has been agreed, when SOCIGATE confirms receipt and explains the applicable next steps.
Depending on the project agreement and applicable law, the client may remain responsible for:
- Fees for work completed up to the effective cancellation date.
- Approved expenses and third-party costs already incurred.
- Non-cancellable commitments expressly authorized by the client.
- Other amounts properly due under the applicable agreement.
Any unused prepaid balance will be assessed in accordance with the project agreement and applicable law.
4. Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on the service purchased, the stage of the project, the work performed, the applicable agreement, and mandatory legal requirements.
Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible, unless another method is agreed or required by law.
The amount of any refund will take account of work already completed, deliverables supplied, and costs properly chargeable under the applicable agreement and law.
5. Digital Deliverables and Completed Work
Once digital deliverables have been completed or supplied, the refund treatment will depend on the agreed scope, the status of the work, the applicable agreement, and mandatory legal rights.
A client may not be entitled to a refund for work properly completed and delivered in accordance with the agreement merely because the client later changes their preferences or business plans.
This section does not remove any legal remedy available where services were not supplied as agreed or where a refund is otherwise required by law.
6. Recurring Services
Where a service is billed on a recurring basis, the applicable subscription or service agreement will specify the billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any applicable notice period.
A cancellation request generally applies to future billing periods after the effective cancellation date, subject to the applicable agreement and mandatory law.
Charges already incurred or services already provided remain subject to the relevant agreement and applicable legal requirements.
7. Third-Party Costs
Some projects may involve advertising spend, software subscriptions, hosting, domains, stock assets, printing, external contractors, or other third-party services.
Refunds for those costs may be subject to the third party's terms and refund procedures.
SOCIGATE cannot promise a refund of third-party charges that it does not control. However, we will explain any relevant third-party restrictions that apply to an agreed project.
8. Cancellation by SOCIGATE
If SOCIGATE is unable to continue a project, we will notify the client and explain the next steps.
Any refund or adjustment will be determined by the applicable agreement, the work performed, amounts paid, and applicable law.
Where appropriate, the parties may agree in writing to a revised scope, an alternative delivery arrangement, or another reasonable resolution.
9. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
Email info@socigate.com with the following information:
- Your name and business name, if applicable.
- The project name or reference number.

We will review the request and respond within a reasonable period. Additional information may be requested where necessary.
