the Council of Arab Economic Unity
The Council of Arab Economic Unity is one of the most longstanding Arab economic institutions, established in 1957 under the Economic Unity Agreement among the states of the League of Arab States, and entering into force in 1964. The Council carries an ambitious vision to achieve gradual Arab economic integration through five fundamental freedoms: freedom of movement of persons and capital, freedom of exchange of goods, freedom of employment and economic activity, freedom of transport, and rights of ownership. Despite this extensive history and a membership comprising 10 Arab countries, the Council lacked an official digital platform that reflected its stature, introduced its agreement and objectives, and enabled communication with governments, economic institutions, and researchers in Arab affairs.
We built the Council of Arab Economic Unity's official website to serve as its trusted digital storefront, through:
A Comprehensive Informational Platform
We designed a website that documents the Council's establishment, the 1957 Economic Unity Agreement, and its five integration objectives in a clear and organized manner befitting its Arab standing.
Highlighting Arab Membership
We dedicated space to showcase the ten member states, making the website a mirror reflecting the Council's pan-Arab dimension.
A Center for Institutional Communication
We streamlined the official communication channels (email, phones, fax), turning the website into a bridge between the Council and governments, economic institutions, and researchers.
A Window on Activities and Training
We linked the website to the Council's Training, Research, and Studies Center, making it a comprehensive gateway to the training courses and professional certifications it offers.
